Giroir to Share HHS Vision with Federal Health Professionals
AMSUS – The Society of Federal Health Professionals is pleased to announce the Assistant Secretary of Health ADM Brett P. Giroir, M.D., will keynote the AMSUS Annual Meeting on Nov. 27, 2018 at the Gaylord Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor, Md. As the Assistant Secretary for Health, ADM Giroir leads development of U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS)-wide public health policy recommendations, oversees 11 core public health offices—including the Office of the Surgeon General and the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps, which has approximately 6,500 uniformed health officers who serve in nearly 600 locations around the world to promote, protect and advance the health and safety of our nation and our world. He also leads HHS efforts to fight America’s opioid crisis.
