AMSUS' Board of Directors  is responsible for the overall management and operation of AMSUS. It approves the annual budget and annual audit, monitors and approves the AMSUS investment program, appoints and supervises the Executive Director, and delegates authority as appropriate to the Executive Director.

Roosevelt Allen is a retired Air Force Major General with a 30+ year career, retiring in 2018 as the medical operations director and chief of the Dental Corps, Office of the Air Force Surgeon General. He holds a Master of the Academy of General Dentistry (MAGD) and holds fellowships in the American Board of General Dentistry (ABGD) and the American College of Dentistry (ACD). In 2018, Dr. Allen joined United Concordia Dental as its dental director of Government Business and was later named its Chief Dental Officer.
